Today the Nifty 50 index closed with a gain of 114.45 points
Share Market Closing 5th May, 2025: The Indian market closed on Monday with a simple lead. Today the BSE Sensex closed at 80,796.84 points with a gain of 294.85 points (0.37%). While NSE’s Nifty 50 index closed at 24,461.15 points with a gain of 114.45 points (0.47%). Let us tell you that on Friday, the BSE Sensex jumped 259.75 points to 80,501.99 points and the Nifty closed at 24346.70 with a slight gain of 12.5 points.
Shares of Adani Ports rise strongly
Today, on the first day of the week, the shares of 19 out of 30 of the Sensex closed in the green mark and the remaining 11 companies closed with a decline in the red mark. Similarly, today, 38 out of 50 of Nifty 50 came to a green mark with shares of 50 and the remaining 12 companies closed in red mark with losses. Today, Adani Ports, who included the Sensex companies, closed the highest 6.31 percent and the shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank closed down by 4.50 percent.
Bajaj Finserv, Mahindra’s shares also boom
Apart from these, today the rest of the Sensex companies shares 3.73 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.11, Artnal 2.45, ITC 1.87, Powergrid 1.68, Tata Motors 1.50, Asian Paints 1.18, Hindustan Unilever 0.98, Bajaj Finance 0.79, Bharati Airtel 0.79, Bharati Airtel 0.79, HDFC Bank 0.69, Reliance Industries 0.64, Tata Steel 0.57, Maruti Suzuki 0.44, TCS 0.36, Sunpharma 0.34, UltraTech Cement 0.11 and Larsen & Toubro closed up 0.11 percent.
State Bank of India, Axis Bank’s shares decline
On the other hand, State Bank of India shares were closed today with 1.26, Axis Bank 0.64, Titan 0.62, IndusInd Bank 0.50, ICICI Bank 0.26, HCL Tech 0.22, Nestle India 0.16, Tech Mahindra 0.10, Infosys 0.08 and NTPC shares closed with a decline of 0.07 percent.
