The central government on Thursday organized an all -party meeting to share information about Operation Sindoor. This meeting was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. The Indian Army successfully air strikes at 9 locations of terrorists in Pakistan and PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) under Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army reported that these bases have been completely demolished.
In the meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave detailed information about Operation Sindoor. He said that 9 terrorist bases were targeted in this operation and about 100 terrorists were killed. However, strong information has not yet been found on the number of slain terrorists, as the operation is still going on.
Objective of Operation Sindoor
Operation Sindoor was run on 22 April after a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, in which 26 innocent people were killed. The tension between India and Pakistan increased after this attack. The tension between the two countries has increased further after strict action by the Indian Army under Operation Sindoor. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made it clear in an all -party meeting that India does not want war, but if Pakistan reacts in any kind, then India will not sit silent.
Summary of all -party meeting
After the all -party meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “The meeting was very positive under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, in which all the leaders spoke seriously. The Defense Minister informed all the leaders about Operation Sindoor, and after that all the leaders supported the government and the army and gave their opinion and suggestions.” He said that all the leaders appreciated the action of the Indian Army and expressed their solidarity with the government.
Opposition’s response and other questions
However, in this meeting, the opposition also questioned the absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said after the meeting that his party has given full support to the government. He also suggested that a special session of Parliament should be called and this issue should be discussed in detail, so that the MPs can give their views and increase the trust of the public. However, the government did not react to this suggestion at present.
Apart from this, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi and NCP-SP leader Supriya Sule also questioned the fall of jet aircraft in Bathinda, which was summoned from the authorities. The meeting showed political solidarity in the context of the Indian Army’s action and Operation Sindoor, and indicated that the Indian government and the army had support.
