In the recent days between India and Pakistan, military tension seems to be increasing once again. Pakistani media on Thursday claimed that India has once again launched a drone attack in the Pakistan border. The alleged drone attack took place in Dinga area of Gujranwala district of Punjab province, where a drone was found to fall into the fields. After the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire region and the security forces have surrounded the area and started collecting drone debris.
According to the report of Pakistani news channels, this drone was sent by India and its purpose is not clear at the moment. However, Pakistan’s army and intelligence agencies are investigating whether there was any explosive material in the drone or it was sent for the purpose of monitoring.
With this development, another shocking news has also come out from Lahore. Reports claimed that the voices of several loud blasts were heard in the Walton Road area of Lahore on Thursday morning. The blasts were so fast that people living in the surrounding area came out of their homes due to fear. According to eyewitnesses, the windows of some houses were also shaking and smoke clouds were also seen in many places.
The local administration has confirmed these incidents, saying that security forces have been placed on high alert and intensive search operations are being carried out in the entire area. Although the role of any terrorist organization or foreign agency has not yet been officially confirmed, the army and intelligence agencies have taken the matter seriously.
Pakistani Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary has already claimed that India used Israeli drone ‘Herop’ in the earlier drone attack in Lahore. Four soldiers were injured and one citizen died in that attack. Now that the news of the new incident has come, this whole incident has made security and diplomatic relations between the two countries more tense.
No official response has been given by India to these claims so far. New Delhi’s policy has generally been silent on such allegations until the incidents are confirmed.
Although regional analysts believe that if these events prove to be true, it can open a new chapter of drone war and border technical conflict in South Asia.
