Amidst India-Pakistan tension In Chandigarh, on Friday i.e. this morning, an air strike siren was played from the Air Force Station, which warned of a possible airstrike. Siren was played throughout the city and the residents were advised to stay indoors and stay away from balconies, windows and glasses. According to a message released by Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner and DC Mohali, especially in Sector 45-47.
The district administration advised the residents to stay indoors and stay away from the balcony. The alert came a few hours after the emergency blackout was implemented in Chandigarh on Thursday night, in which the air strike sirens were ringing and the power was shut down around 9.30 pm.
The Chandigarh administration posted on X, “Warning of a possible attack from the Air Force Station. The sirens are being played. All have been advised to stay indoors and stay away from the balcony.”

After the latest threat in Chandigarh, the Mohali administration of Punjab has also advised the residents living in the border sectors to stay indoors. The Mohali administration said in a consultation, “Alert is going on in some areas of Chandigarh. We are also advising the residents of Mohali living in the border areas to stay indoors and stay away from windows and glasses.”

It has come a few hours after Pakistan worsened the International Border and the Line of Control and a few hours after firing several drones and missiles in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan.
