Srinagar. A few hours after the consent of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, there have been reports of tension again in the border areas. According to various media reports, Pakistan has carried out attacks with drones and missiles in many areas of Ferozepur, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir in Punjab. The Indian Army has given a befitting reply to these attacks and is completely cautious. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reacted to the development and tweeted, “What happened to the ceasefire? The voices of blasts were heard in Srinagar.” His remarks came after reports of loud blasts heard in Srinagar. In another incident, a Pakistani drone is reported to be killed by the Indian air defense forces during a blackout in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. The sounds of the blasts have also been heard in this area. After these incidents, the border districts of Rajasthan were immediately black out in Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. This step has been taken as a security precaution.
Significantly, at 3:30 pm today, there was an agreement between India and Pakistan not to take military action on ground, air and maritime borders. Its official announcement was made by the Government of India at 5 pm by the Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs. However, these fresh incidents have questioned the stability of ceasefire.
Although a detailed official statement on these attacks has not yet been issued by the Indian Army, according to sources, the border is being monitored strictly and the soldiers are fully prepared to deal with any situation. Citizens living in border areas have also been advised to be vigilant. Further information is awaited.
