केजरीवाल के खिलाफ सार्वजनिक संपत्ति को नुकसान पहुंचाने के मामले में कोर्ट ने दिल्ली पुलिस से ताजा स्थिति रिपोर्ट मांगी

New Delhi, 8 May (IANS). In an old case of damage to public property against former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the Rouse Avenue Court has directed the Delhi Police to file a fresh status report.

The court gave this order during further hearing of the case, in which the complainant alleged that public property was damaged by putting posters and banners on the walls during the election campaign. The hearing of the case is going on in the Rouse Avenue Court, where the court has directed the investigating officer to provide the CD (which alleged evidence that exists) and the original complaint should be made available to the complainant.

The court also clarified that for a fair investigation of the case and further hearing, it is necessary that all necessary documents are available with the complainant. The court also stated that the complainant does not have copies of photographs that allegedly relate to the crime, so the investigating officer has been directed to hand over all the necessary digital and written evidence to the complainant.

Significantly, the matter is of election campaign during 2014-2015, when posters and banners were put on the walls without permission. Due to this, a complaint was lodged by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The next hearing in this case will now be held on 23 May, in which the status report and other evidence given by the police will be reviewed. The court also indicated that if necessary, the investigation of the case would be carried forward and other concerned persons can also be summoned.
