On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari reached Kotdi village in the district and honored the 85 -year -old Suva Dai Maa, who has set a unique example of selfless service and motherhood by having a safe delivery of more than 2800 children in 60 years of her life.
Suva Dai Maa, who started this journey of service at the age of just 24, played an important role when basic facilities like electricity, medicine and hygiene were also not available in the villages. Even today, she provides obstetric assistance, pregnancy consultation and advice on women in Kotdi, Jakholai, Bherwai and Kardala villages.
Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari said on the occasion that Suva Dai is a symbol of mother renunciation, dedication and motherhood. He provided a shield of safety and maternal love to mother and newborn when modern medical facilities were only a dream. At that time his service spirit cannot be judged.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that it is our duty to bring such heroes on stage, who work to give life to the society by staying away from glitter. The story of Suva Dai Maa tells us that every woman has power, she simply needs recognition and respect. On this occasion, hundreds of villagers adopted the program by attending the ceremony organized in honor of Suva Dai Maa.
The Deputy Chief Minister also met the first daughter born to Dai, who is now 61 years old. On this occasion of Mother’s Day, the Deputy Chief Minister took the blessings of Suva Dai Maa by touching her feet and welcomed her by garlanding them. He also invited him to come to Jaipur and said that this Mother’s Day inspires us that true motherhood lies not only in giving birth, but also in upbringing and selfless service. The Deputy Chief Minister also greeted all rural women on Mother’s Day.
