New Delhi. UP got a big gift in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The Modi cabinet has decided to set up a semiconductor unit in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. It will be a joint venture of HCL and Foxconn. There is already a world -class international airport in the jewelry, now the development of the semiconductor unit will add more to the development. Giving information after the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 3706 crore will be invested for the semiconductor unit to be built in the jewelry and about 2 thousand people will get employment due to its construction.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that the construction of five units has already been approved under the Semiconductor Mission. Construction of these units is going on at a fast pace. Expressing happiness, the Union Minister said that the first semiconductor unit to be built in the country will start work in 2025 this year. At the same time, about the unit in jewelry, he said that it is expected that production will start in 2027. The unit will produce display driver chips for areas such as mobile, laptop, automobiles under the India Semiconductor Mission, which will have a capacity of 20 thousand wafers and 3.6 million chips per month.
