He said that now the production of milk of our fall cows is 15 to 20 liters per day, while production will increase to 50 liters from this semen. This imported semen is being made available to cattle rearers for only Rs 100.

Gir breed milk, ghee, buttermilk and other milk products have more demand than milk products of normal cows. Gir cow’s milk is considered to be A-2 milk, which is different from A-1 beta-cassin present in normal cow’s milk. A-2 milk is considered easy to digest and in some people helps reduce digestive problems related to A-1 milk. Additionally, Gir cow’s milk contains more fat and protein, making it a better option for high quality dairy products. This is the reason that the bull of Brazil’s best breed (Esepaculo FIV and IVA FIV D brash) is being used in terms of improvement in milk production of this breed. In its first phase, 2680 doses are being distributed. Along with this, demand for 10 thousand doses for the second phase has also been sent to the Government of India.
