The air quality in Delhi on Friday worsened, AQI reached 301 which falls in the ‘very poor’ category. Air quality is deteriorating due to a sudden increase in dust pollution.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the total AQI 301 of Delhi was recorded at 7 am today. The AQI between 301 and 400 is placed in the ‘very poor’ category. AQI recorded in most monitoring stations was in a very poor category. AQI was recorded at 352, 322 and 333 respectively in Anant Vihar, Ashok Vihar and Aya Nagar.
According to IMD, the Palam and surrounding areas suddenly rose winds at a speed of 30–40 kilometers per hour, causing dust particles from Rajasthan. This led to an unusual decline in air quality in the national capital in May.
Meanwhile, political disputes started over poor air quality and AAP attacked the BJP government and said that its election promises of clean air collapsed in just three months.
Posted on the official handle of Aam Aadmi Party on ‘X’: “In the month of May itself, Delhi-NCR has covered a sheet of pollution. In the month of May itself, the AQI has crossed the AQI 500 in many areas of Delhi-NCR and the air has spread dust and poisonous air. It has never happened before. The BJP governments have not done any BJP and the BJP government has not done any work, but no BJP government has done any work to reduce any BJP and the surrounding states. Is.”
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, sharing a news report at the level of the dangerous air quality index (AQI), “Air pollution was never so bad at this time during your reign.”
Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa targeted former Chief Minister Atishi, who alleged that AQI had reached 500 on Thursday morning. Taking a dig at Atishi, Sirsa said that the BJP has been treating the diseases given by the Aam Aadmi Party government in the last 10 years.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “I am very surprised that Atishi has been CM and she is tweeting like this – yesterday the Meteorological Department told that there will be thunderstorms – now will we be blamed for such storms? But it is a good thing that Atishi has expectations from us. But, we will give our best and clean the wind for the last 10 years.
