Chandigarh The country’s security agencies have stepped up action against the Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) detective network. The Punjab and Haryana Police have detained several suspects in the joint operation, of which Hisar’s famous YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra’s name is the most important. Jyoti was arrested after questioning a woman named Gajala, who was caught from Malerkotla in Punjab, in which the names of several others associated with the detective network have been revealed. Jyoti Malhotra is serious of espionage and involvement in anti -national activities. She is known for her travel YouTube channel. After his arrest, he was produced in court, from where he was sent on five days police remand.
DSP Kamaljeet said, “Based on the information received yesterday (on Friday), we have arrested Harish Kumar’s daughter Jyoti under the officialcycatact and Section 152 of BNS. Some suspicious things have been found after her mobile and laptop were recovered. We have taken her on five days remand. Further investigation is going on. She was constantly in touch with a Pakistani citizen.”
According to the information received, Jyoti has traveled to Pakistan, once in Pakistan, China, and UAE, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Thailand three times in the last two years. Investigation revealed that she had come in contact with Danish, an officer of the Pakistani High Commission two years ago.
During his visit to Pakistan, Jyoti met the intelligence officials and other suspected persons there. After returning to India, he shared sensitive information using his social media platforms and tried to create a positive image of Pakistan.
Punjab Police arrested Gajala and his partner Yameen Mohammed from Malerkotla. Ghazala revealed during interrogation that his job was to take money from Danish to the detectives, while Yameen was also in contact with Danish.
Security agencies suspect that Jyoti not only leaked confidential information, but also campaigned against India at the behest of ISI. In some videos uploaded on his YouTube channel, suspicious content is also being investigated.
According to the police, this detective network was exposed after Ghazala’s arrest. Ghazala revealed the names of several other detectives in the interrogation, on the basis of which Jyoti has been detained from Hisar. The police will now conduct a thorough investigation of Jyoti’s bank accounts, travel details and people in contact with them. Along with this, raids in Punjab and Haryana have been intensified to search for other suspects.
