Three youths from Dungarpur district of Rajasthan hoisted the tricolor on the top of the island peak in the Mount Everest area of Nepal. This is his eighth mission after training. He completed the mission by hoisting the tricolor on a 20,305 feet high peak of Nepal. The three youths hoisted the tricolor and paid tribute to the tourists killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. IT firm manager Hiten Damor, travel business founder Vivek Pandya and bank manager Kapil Parmar have achieved this feat.
Tracking became my hobby during college studies.
His interest in hill tracking increased during college studies. Due to this hobby, he also took training in mountaineering in Uttarakhand. Since then, he has been mountaineering every year.
He has climbed several mountains including Kedarnath and Everest Base.
So far, these youths have completed Kheerganga, Buran Pass, Malana, Chandrashila, Kedarnath, Tungnath, Srikhand Mahadev, Chadar Trek, Everest Base Camp, Black Patthar and Chandranahan Trek. This time, he along with the mountaineering team of the Government of India and Nepal set out on a visit to Island Peak in Nepal. After this, on Sunday 11 May, he reached the top of the dangerous and inaccessible Himalayas in Nepal.
Preparation to reach the top of Mount Everest
The three together started the difficult and icy climb of the island peak, whose base camp passes through the route of Everest Base Camp. The climb of 6,189 meters (20,305 ft) was completed in 8 hours. Whereas, both took 7 hours to land. While the third partner Kapil Parmar decided to return for security reasons after reaching a height of about 5,900 meters (19,357 ft). Now he wants to make a record of reaching the highest peak of Mount Everest. He has expressed his gratitude to the people of Vagad region for his success.
