YouTuber and Travel Vologer Jyoti Malhotra of Haryana have been arrested for spying for Pakistan. According to the police, Pakistan’s intelligence agencies were developing them as a ‘asset’, so that they could use India in ‘Narrative Warfare’ (ideology war).
Sampatha, Superintendent of Police of Pakistan High Commission Shashank Kumar Sawan said that Jyoti Malhotra had contact with an officer of Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, who was later expelled from India. The contact was at the peak of Indo-Pak tension after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir in April 2025.
Investigation, exchange of sensitive information through social media found that Jyoti Malhotra sent sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agencies through social media platforms like Whatsapp, Telegram and Snapchat. He also shared videos in favor of Pakistan on his YouTube channel ‘Travel with Jo’, which used to know about the visit to Pakistani sites.
33-year-old Jyoti Malhotra, an investigation into foreign trips and financial transactions, was arrested from Hisar’s New Agrasen Extension. Police said that they had visited Pakistan in 2023 and also went to China once. Their financial transactions and travel history are being investigated. He has been charged under the relevant sections of the official Secrets Act and the Indian Penal Code.
After the arrest of other YouTubers Jyoti Malhotra, other Indian travel vlourse and social media influencers are also being investigated, which may have any connection with Pakistan. A 21 -year -old YouTuber from Odisha, who recently traveled to the Kartarpur Corridor, is also under investigation.
