Millions of people and the disease affecting the global economy have created new apprehensions. Health experts said on Tuesday that this is the trend of flu to be held in the changing season.
According to media reports, the weekly Kovid-19 infection in Singapore rose from 11,100 per cent to 14,200 in the first week of May at the end of April, as well as a 30 per cent increase in the number of hospitalizations.
Hong Kong has recorded 31 virus related deaths till May 3, which is the most weekly toll in the city in a year. In the week ended May 10, new infections in Hong Kong increased to 1,042, which was 972 last week.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health assured that the country is a strong system for monitoring respiratory viral diseases including Kovid, which is present in the country through integrated disease monitoring program (IDSP) and ICMR.
