Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi mentioned his achievements on the occasion of the completion of two years of his party’s government in Karnataka and said that the five ‘guarantee’ which was promised at the time of assembly elections has been fulfilled.
Addressing the ‘Dedication Sankalp rally’ held here, he also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants money and resources to go to selected rich people, while the Congress wants money to go to the poor.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said, “Today the Congress Party government in Karnataka has completed 2 years. We made promises to the people of Karnataka at the time of elections. We gave 5 guarantee to the public. Then Narendra Modi and BJP people said that the Congress party will not be able to do this work. ‘
She said that under the first guarantee ‘Grihalakshmi’ scheme, Rs 2,000 per month is being given to one crore women. He said, “Today I can happily say that the Congress government of Karnataka puts money in the account of crores of women.”
The former Congress president said, “Under the second guarantee ‘Griha Jyoti’, 200 units of free electricity is being given to crores of families. We also fulfilled this promise given to the public. Under the third guarantee ‘Ann Bhagya Yojana’, four crore people are being given 10 kg of food grains. Today, crores of families in Karnataka get food grains from this scheme. ”
He also mentioned that under the fourth guarantee ‘Shakti’ scheme, women are being given free bus travel facility and through this about 500 crore bus trips have been given free by the Karnataka government.
Rahul Gandhi said that under the fifth guarantee ‘Youth Fund’, the Congress government is giving Rs 3,000 to three lakh youths of the state every month.
He also said that the distribution of more than one lakh land and paps to the eligible beneficiaries is the sixth guarantee completed by the Congress government.
