Mumbai, May 22 (IANS). Apparel manufacturer and exporter company Gokaldas Exports Limited declared the results of the fourth quarter of FY 2025 on Thursday. The company’s consolidated profit in the January-March period rose by 19.3 percent to Rs 52.86 crore on an annual basis, compared to Rs 44.28 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024.
In the last quarter of FY 2025, the company’s profit (PBT) has also increased by 84 percent to Rs 79 crore in the last quarter of Rs 79 crore.
However, this quarter also saw a significant increase in total expenses, which increased by Rs 23.32 percent from Rs 775.03 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024 to Rs 955.8 crore in the March quarter of FY 25.
The company’s income from operating increased by about 25 percent to Rs 1,015.33 crore. The company’s total income for the quarter increased by 27 percent to Rs 1,035 crore due to improvement in productivity and strong cost management.
Despite the increase in expenses, the company managed to increase its profits and strengthen margins, compared to the same period last year, the margin improved 272 base points in the March quarter of FY 25.
The total income of Gokaldas Exports in the entire financial year 2025 stood at Rs 3,917 crore, which is the largest figure ever achieved by the company in a financial year. Income has increased by 63 percent as compared to the previous financial year.
According to the stock exchange filing, the profit before tax in FY 25 increased by 37 percent to Rs 218 crore.
On the results, Gokaldas Exports Vice President and Managing Director Sivarakrishnan Ganpati said, “FY 25 has been an important year for us, as we consolidated the acquisitions and recorded a strong increase in income and profits.”
“We are facing challenges such as mutual tariffs imposed by the United States, which can affect margins, opportunities such as the Indo-UK Free Trade Agreement,” he said, “
Gokaldas Exports, established in 1979, is one of India’s largest costume manufacturers and exporters, supplying to more than 50 countries worldwide. The company manufactures about 87 million costumes annually with more than 30 production units and more than 51,000 employees.
