The DGP of Himachal Pradesh has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), the Government of Himachal Pradesh, recommended the suspension of Shimla SP. He has accused the SP of gross misconduct, disobedience and negligence in duty. The letter stated, “Shimla SP made baseless and unfair allegations against the Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh and a constitutional authority in the state during the press conference on 24 May. He also made unmatched and potentially partial statements about the National Security Guard of the Government of India, which is currently under active investigation.
The dispute between Shimwa SP and DGP of Himachal Pradesh started with the Vimal Negi case. After this, on Saturday, Shimla SP accused the DGP, his employee of misconduct.
