Una, 26 May (IANS). There is once again increase in cases of Corona virus across the country. In view of the situation, the Himachal Pradesh government has also issued an alert in the entire state. In this episode, the health department of Una district is also fully on alert mode. The department has started all necessary preparations to deal with Kovid-19.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Verma said that the RT-PCR lab in the district has been fully activated so that Kovid-19 can be quickly identified.
He said that strict instructions have been given to all health centers and officials of the district to arrange immediate examination if symptoms like Kovid-19 or Enfluenza are seen. Availability of beds, oxygen supply, BIPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, PSA plants and essential medicines have been made in hospitals. All equipment and resources required to deal with Kovid-19 have been stocked.
He said that in addition, monitoring of infections (ILIs) and severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) cases in OPD and IPD is also being ensured through IHIP-IDSP portal.
The CMO further said that no case of Kovid-19 has been reported in the district at present. People do not need to panic, but caution will have to be taken.
He appealed to the public to follow the guidelines of the Health Department, maintain social dispensing and use masks in public places.
He emphasized that the Health Department is fully prepared to deal with every situation and if a case comes up in the future, it will be effectively dealt with. We have activated RT-PCR lab, all necessary arrangements have been made in hospitals. There is nothing to panic at the moment, but people need to be cautious.
