Former President of the Indian Wrestling Association and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has got a big relief in the rape case with a minor woman wrestler. The Delhi Police filed a closure report in this case, which has been accepted by the Delhi court. Along with this, the matter has been closed. Olympians Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik accused Brij Bhushan of sexually abusing junior wrestlers and staged a long protest at Jantar Mantar. An FIR was lodged in the case and the former BJP MP was facing trial in the case. Brij Bhushan always denied the allegations.
The wrestlers performed for a long time on the matter. The wrestlers had built their home in Jantar Mantar. After this, the police took the wrestlers into custody and cleared the demonstration space. After this, the protests also ended. Now Brij Bhushan Singh has also got a clean chit.
What is the matter?
Several wrestlers led by wrestlers like Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Poonia had protested and made serious allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. On receiving the assurance of investigation, the wrestlers ended the picket, but no action was taken against Brij Bhushan even after two months. In such a situation, the wrestlers started demonstrating again, which lasted for a long time. After the intervention of the court, Delhi Police registered an FIR in this case. However, now Brij Bhushan has been given a clean chit in this case. After serious allegations against Brij Bhushan Singh, he was asked not to interfere in the functioning of the Wrestling Association.
Brij Bhushan Singh had alleged that senior wrestlers do not leave their quota even after injury and want to play in big competitions without giving trials. He is not allowing this to do so. For this reason, wrestlers are making false accusations against him.
