On Tuesday, on the festival of Bargadi Amavasya in Chitrakoot, the mythological pilgrimage site of Uttar Pradesh, more than four lakh devotees took a dip in the Mandakini river and revolved around Kamadgiri and donated. Mahant Ramswaroop Acharya of Kamadgiri main gate told that every year in Bargadi Amavasya, more than five lakh devotees bathe and revolve around Kamadgiri.
But on Monday this year, some people have considered Amavasya, due to which the number of devotees got divided and more than one lakh devotees took a bath in the Mandakini river on Monday and revolved around Kamdagiri, while today, assuming Udaya Tithi, today more than four lakh devotees took a dip in the Mandakini river and revolved around the Kamadgiri.
He told that by worshiping Banyan on this day, donating the banyan fruits. Today, Suhagin women worshiped the banyan tree and revolved around Kamdagiri and gave food to the people and also gave donations etc. Due to the comprehensive arrangement of police and administration, the fair was concluded peacefully.
