New Delhi, May 27 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the corporate world to participate in the ‘Yoga Sangam’ program to be held on this International Yoga Day in his recent ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. After this, more than 10,000 organizations across the country have registered for ‘Yoga Sangam’.
‘Yoga Sangam’ is a nationwide initiative, which is going to be the biggest health festival of India on 21 June on International Yoga Day.
During the 122nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi appreciated the increasing integration of yoga in India’s corporate culture and described it as a powerful indicator of private sector commitment to national health.
The Prime Minister said during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address, “Our corporates are not even behind it. Some institutions have made a separate place for yoga practice in their offices. Some start-ups have established ‘Office Yoga Hour’. This is a positive indication of how the private sector is contributing to the country’s health movement.”
The Ministry of AYUSH said, “After this call by PM Modi, more than 10,000 organizations have registered for Yoga Sangam.
Yoga Sangam will be celebrated at more than one lakh places from the peaks of the Himalayas covered with snowy Himalayas throughout India. The ministry said, the participants participating in it to India will celebrate it as a power for unity, health and inner peace through this eternal gift yoga given by India.
This year, a decade of the United Nations officially recognized the International Yoga Day in 2015 is being completed.
While India is celebrating a decade of global leadership in the field of health. In such a situation, the theme for International Yoga Day 2025, “Ek Earth, Yoga for One Health” is echoing more than ever.
