New Delhi, May 31 (IANS). Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for the country are the key to becoming ‘developed India’ by 2047. A top government official said that this is the right time to talk about industry and MSME cooperation, contributing to India’s aspirations.
India is continuously moving forward in its aspiration. India has currently become the fourth largest economy from the 10th largest economy 10 years ago.
According to Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, “We can create opportunities through the Integration of SME in the Vendor Development Program, Technology Upgradation, Technology Transfer, SME in Supply Chain, which create a winning position for both partnerships. ‘Self -reliant India’ and ‘developed India’ will be strengthened. “
Dr. Rajneesh launched ‘CII MSME Export Helpdesk’ during the ‘CII Annual Business Summit 2025’ to help increase MSME’s ability and productivity.
CII Vice President R.K. Mukundan discussed four basic columns to increase the capacity of MSME. These columns include building skills and capacity. Also, it is involved to ensure that they can work with low regulatory inspections.
He said, “Apart from employment generation, exports play an important role as it allows us to join the global value chain. In areas such as textile, agriculture processing and leather, MSME is leading to supply materials worldwide.”
His presence at the grassroots level establishes India as a high performance, competitive enterprise in the future.
Comparing the global scenario, Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and CEO of Siemens India said that 27 million people in Germany are working in small and medium enterprises. Germany has a population of 84 million and contributes 55 percent of the country’s GDP. He said that India has immense possibilities with 60 million enterprises.
