Congress MP rally: Former CM of Chhattisgarh Baghel seeks Answer on Operation Sindoor 'Sangharsh Hamm'

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should respond to the “ceasefire” after the “no security system” for the Pahalgam attack, its hideouts and four days of enmity between Pakistan and India.

After the horrific attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May, destroying the terrorist structure in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir and Pakistan. The neighboring country retaliated with drones and missiles, but failed to harm. Both countries announced ending enmity on 10 May.

Speaking in the ‘Jai Hind Sabha’ of the Congress, Baghel also accused the BJP of politicizing Operation Sindoor and said that the armed forces of the country do not belong to any party. This program of Congress took place in Bhopal with a big program of Prime Minister’s women empowerment, which is about 300 km from here.

Addressing the people, Baghel said, “Tell people why there was no security system in Pahalgam. Where are those four terrorists? Was the ceasefire under pressure from America and who took the decision of the ceasefire, the officials or the government.”

Baghel’s statement came after repeatedly stating by US President Donald Trump that he ended enmity between India and Pakistan due to operation vermilion. However, India continues to have its attitude that America had no role in it. During a rally in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Prime Minister Modi said that Pakistan had asked for “begging” for the ceasefire during Operation Sindoor.

The Congress is organizing ‘Jai Hind Sabha’ across the country to salute the armed forces, while the BJP is taking out a ‘tricolor journey’ to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. He alleged, “The BJP is politicizing Operation Sindoor. Bharatiya Janata Party workers will distribute vermilion.” She said that a woman applies vermilion for her husband’s well -being and her husband only makes her vermilion. The ruling BJP has categorically denied that it will distribute vermilion.

Baghel said, “Our armed forces belong to the whole country and its people, not any political party or government. We all are very proud of our army’s bravery and valor.” He said that doubts are being raised on the decisions and policies of the BJP government. Baghel also appreciated former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for defeating Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the construction of Bangladesh.

The former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that Modi should apologize for the objectionable comments made by Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah and state Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora after Operation Sindoor. Baghel said that the Prime Minister should ensure an example to ensure that he is dismissed from the Madhya Pradesh government.

Shah made objectionable remarks about Army Officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi during his speech at a public function at Mhow near Indore on 12 May. An FIR has been registered in this case and both the Supreme Court and the MP High Court have reprimanded Shah. On 16 May, Deora claimed that the armed forces and soldiers of the country are ‘Natmastak’ in front of PM Modi to give a befitting reply to terrorists and Pakistan. He made this comment during his speech at a civil security ceremony in Jabalpur district.

Speaking in the ‘Jai Hind Sabha’, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that those who did not play any role in the freedom struggle of India and those who were slaves of the British are claiming today that the armed forces are bowing at the feet of Modi. Incidentally, Singh preferred to sit on the couch with others instead of sitting on the stage in the gathering. He announced a few days ago at a party event that he would not sit on the stage in future.
