Today will demand a meeting of leaders of India coalition, call to call special session of Parliament: Sutras

A group of leaders of the India coalition on Tuesday are expected to gather at the Constitution Club demanding a special session of Parliament. More than 200 MPs of the Lok Sabha have signed a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded a special session of Parliament. This meeting will be represented by Congress MP Deepender Hooda.

According to sources, media briefing will take place at 12:30 pm. Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Kumar Jha wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to call a special session of Parliament recently to discuss the border military operations against Pakistan.

In his letter, Jha said that the people of India feel that they are “being kept in darkness” and they deserve clarity on the government’s decisions and their widespread influences.

He said, “I am writing to urge you to call you a special session of Parliament to discuss the recent actions, its effects and further path against Pakistan.”

He said that citizens demand “transparency, accountability and accountability”.

He expressed concern over the statements of US President Donald Trump, who has allegedly credited the mediation of peace talks between India and Pakistan. The letter reads, “The United States President Donald Trump has taken credit for establishing peace between India and Pakistan at least twelve times since the operation began.”

He concluded the letter, stating that the government refuses to organize special sessions so far, either shows the lack of trust in its own version or an attempt to avoid investigation, which, he said, is harmful to the country.

The letter states, “The government’s reluctance in calling special sessions so far indicates either lack of confidence in its own statement or intentional confusion. None of these talks fulfill national interests.”

Earlier on Saturday, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge demanded a special session of Parliament in connection with Operation Sindoor, alleging that the government has “misled the country” and instead of clarifying on the statements of US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the election storm and taking personal credit for the valor of the armed forces. “

In a post on X, Kharge asked what were the conditions of ending enmity between India and Pakistan. He said, “Are India and Pakistan become united again? What are the terms of the ceasefire agreement? 140 crore patriotic Indians have the right to know this.”

The Congress is demanding a special session of Parliament to discuss the Pahalgam terrorist attack and operation vermilion.

Additionally, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged the Central Government to call a special session of Parliament on a safe return of the delegation, citing military confrontation between India and Pakistan. He said that people of this great nation have the greatest right to get information about the recent struggle.

In a post on social media platform X, CM Mamta Banerjee said, “I urge the Central Government to call a special session of Parliament on the safe return of the delegation, as I believe that people of this great nation have the greatest right to be informed about the recent struggle and emerging developments.”

Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary M.A. Baby also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging to call a special session of Parliament to reduce enmity with Pakistan.

On 7 May, India started Operation Sindoor as a decisive military response after a terrorist attack by Pakistan sponsored militants in Pahalgam on 22 April. 26 people were killed in this attack. The Indian armed forces targeted the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in more than 100 terrorists associated with terrorist organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.

After India’s attack on the terrorist structure, Pakistan opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) on the Jammu and Kashmir and the International Border, as well as attempted drone attacks by targeting civil areas in the border areas. In response, India neutralized Pakistani air defense mechanisms, radars, infrastructure and communication centers and caused heavy damage to 11 airblanes in Pakistan.

After this, an agreement was announced on May 10 to end the enmity between India and Pakistan.
