New Delhi. The Supreme Court has secured the verdict after hearing the petitions filed against the Waqf Amendment Act 2025. At the same time, the central government is now going to take steps for registration of Waqf properties. According to the information, the Central Government is going to launch Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency, Efficiency, And Development Act i.e. ‘hope’ portal for registration of Waqf properties on 6 June. It has been necessary to register all Waqf properties in the Waqf Amendment Act 2025. Waqf properties will be managed from the new hope portal and it will also bring transparency.
All Waqf properties across the country will be registered on the new hope portal itself. All Waqf properties on the hope portal will have to be registered in 6 months. Their geo tagging is also being required for the registry of Waqf related properties. That is, through GPS, you have to tell where the property is. According to the information, if a Waqf property is not registered on the hope portal in 6 months due to technical or any other major reason, then it can be given up to two months. All Waqf properties will be registered on the hope portal through Waqf Boards of the states.
Apart from this, information about the length, width and area of Waqf property will also have to be recorded on the hope portal. The responsibility of registering any Waqf property on the hope portal will be on the manager of the property concerned. If any Waqf property is not registered on the hope portal, the matter will be sent to the Waqf Tribunal after considering that property disputed. According to the Waqf Amendment Act 2025, if any property is in the name of the woman, then she cannot be declared Waqf. In such a situation, before the registry of every Waqf property, it has to be told that his successor is not a woman.
