New Delhi. Action has now been taken against the accused officer in the dispute case between two IRS officers in Lucknow. Joint Commissioner Yogendra Mishra, accused of assaulting Income Tax Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Garg, has been suspended. With this, he was attached to Bengal and Sikkim region. Yogendra Mishra is the IRS officer of 2014 and Gaurav Garg 2016 batch. On the evening of May 29, there was a dispute over the talks between Yogendra Mishra and Gaurav Garg at the sixth floor of the Income Tax Office of Lucknow. After which Yogendra Mishra got angry and attacked Gaurav Garg’s face with a glass of glass filled with water. In which Gaurav Garg was hurt and had to be admitted to the civil hospital.
The incident inside the Income Tax Office has caught fire. An FIR was also registered against Yogendra Mishra in Hazratganj Kotwali in Lucknow in this case. After this incident, Neha, wife of IRS officer Yogendra Mishra, who is ARTO in the Transport Department, had appealed for security, stating the life of her family. At the same time, Gaurav Garg’s wife was demanded to transfer outside Lucknow. Gaurav Garg’s wife Raveena Tyagi is an IPS, who is currently posted in Lucknow.
