Ahmedabad, 4 June (IANS). There is a rapid increase in cases of Corona in Gujarat. In the last 24 hours, 64 cases of Kovid-19 were registered. This increased the total number of infected number to 461. It is a matter of relief that out of 461 active cases, only 20 patients are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 441 are recovering at home.
Ahmedabad has the highest number of 241 active cases. This is more than half of the total cases of the state.
On Tuesday, a 37 -year -old woman was admitted to Asarwa Civil Hospital. Four patients are currently undergoing treatment here, including two men, a woman and an eight -month -old girl.
In the last 24 hours, 64 new cases have been reported in the whole of Gujarat, while 36 patients were cured. Since January 2025, a total of 156 patients have been cured across the state. In active cases, Kerala (1,416) and Maharashtra (494) are third. This is followed by 393 cases in Delhi and 372 cases in West Bengal.
10 percent of active cases across the country are only in Gujarat. Sources in the state health department show that most Kovid-19 patients with light symptoms are being treated at home. The system of hospitalization is mainly reserved for a patient with serious symptoms.
The Gujarat government has become alert and has intensified its preparations due to the recent increase in Kovid-19 cases. Health officials are instructed to stay on high alert, especially in urban centers like Ahmedabad, where most of the cases are focused.
The state has increased the test and is monitoring the clusters through local health monitoring teams. In the districts where cases are increasing, hospitals have been instructed to keep separate wards ready.
Civil hospitals and district health centers have been instructed to keep oxygen beds and ICUs ready for emergency needs.
In addition, awareness campaigns have been resumed in both urban and rural areas. Citizens have been urged to wear masks in crowded places and avoid unnecessary congestion. At the same time, coordination with municipal bodies for contact tracing, sanitization campaign and public communication has been strengthened.
