The death of a young man under suspicious circumstances in Dhuralkh village of Samastipur district of Bihar has created a sensation. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar Ram, who went to the in -laws’ house on 22 May 2025 to meet his wife Sarita Devi. But on the morning of 26 May, family members received news of his death. The family members of the deceased say that this is not a suicide, a planned murder, which was carried out by his wife and in -laws.
Four lakhs had taken a wife to convince
Vijay’s brother Shiv Kumar Ram said in a police complaint that Vijay was married to Sarita Devi in 2010. A few days after the wedding, Sarita and her family were torturing Vijay for money. The money would have been demanded and when Vijay refused, the wife would go to her maternal home.
Recently, Sarita called Vijay and said that if she gives her four lakh rupees, then then she will return with her in -laws. Vijay, disappointed, sold his land and reached the in -laws on 22 May to celebrate Sarita with money. But he never returned from there.
Death reported on 26 May
The family received information on the morning of 26 May that Vijay had died. As soon as the information was received, the family reached the village, where they found Vijay’s body in a suspicious condition. Family members claim that it was the murder, which was carried out due to domestic violence and greed.
Brother’s charge- conspiracy hatched for money
Shiv Kumar says that Sarita had married only for money and Vijay never joined his wife. He always got the demand for taunts, threats and money from his maternal uncle. This time too, he went to save his matrimonial relationship with four lakhs, but death was waiting for it.
What did the police do?
Station head Niranjan Kumar said that an FIR has been lodged on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. In the case, wife Sarita Kumari has been arrested and sent to jail, while the search for the accused Sala Rahul Kumar, Kundan Ram and Chandrika Ram is going on. Police said that raids are being conducted and soon all the accused will be under law.
