Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday criticized the Nitish Kumar -led NDA government over the law and order situation in Bihar and alleged that the state had turned into a “crime capital of India”.
Addressing the ‘Constitution Protection Conference’ in Rajgir, Nalanda, Gandhi also took a sarcasm at Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “remain silent” on the claims of US President Donald Trump to establish peace between India and Pakistan during the military struggle.
The former Congress president said, “Bihar, which was once considered the land of peace and justice, has now turned into the crime capital of India.”
Gandhi also said that he is apprehensive about whether the Center “will be able to do the caste census properly due to the final form by any official of OBC, Dalit or tribal communities.
He said, “I am fighting for caste census for saving the Constitution and for the overall betterment of the country … Wherever we form the government in future, we will remove the 50 percent limit on reservation. It will start from Bihar.”
On the military conflict between India and Pakistan, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said: “A call from Trump and Narendra Modi immediately surrendered. Trump himself has said this (about establishing peace in public at least 11 times). But, PM is silent on the issue. I know that he has nothing to say on this.”
