Bihar CM face: In Bihar politics these days, Chirag Paswan’s activism has created a new political temperature. Chirag, head of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), has announced to field in the upcoming 2025 assembly elections. Since then, many party leaders have been presenting him as a possible face for the post of Chief Minister.

Increasing pressure on Chief Minister Nitish?

Opponents say that after the 2025 elections, Nitish may not take over the post of Chief Minister again, due to which his health is being told. Although Chirag’s party performed effectively with 6.47% vote share and 5 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, they are still considered a small force than the JDU with 18.52% vote share.
Brainstorm within BJP
According to a media report, a senior BJP leader admitted that Chirag Paswan has the possibility and ability to gather support even by going out of his traditional vote bank. A former MP said, lamp does not want to be limited to the Paswan community only. He wants to make a place in the big politics of Bihar and under this he is playing his cards.
Seat sharing format ready in NDA
According to sources, the seat -sharing blueprint for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar NDA is ready. JDU is expected to get 102 to 103 seats, BJP may get 101 to 102 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas) 25 to 28 seats, Hindustani Awam Morcha 6 to 7 seats, Rashtriya Lok Morcha 4 to 5 seats. Although the official confirmation of this sharing has not been done at the moment, it is believed that this formula will be made public soon.
Demand for Manjhi and Kushwaha
While Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party Hindustani Awam Morcha is claiming 20 to 30 seats, they are expected to get 6 to 7 seats. It has also been agreed to give 4 to 5 seats to Upendra Kushwaha’s National Lok Morcha.
The discussion of Chirag Paswan’s announcement and the emergence of a potential Chief Minister’s face has made a challenge to find a new balance in Bihar politics. The final decision regarding the seat sharing in the NDA may be yet left, but it is clear that Chirag is now preparing to play a big role in the political match.
