Naresh Kumar, scientist of Indian Meteorological Department i.e. IMD, said that the temperature is either normal or less than that, but in the next 4-5 days, the temperature will be increased. He said that with this, heatwave can run in northwest India, especially in western Rajasthan, on June 9. According to the meteorologist, the impact of heatwave is expected on 10 June in the southern parts of Punjab, Haryana and UP and the northern part of Madhya Pradesh. According to Naresh Kumar, the monsoon will once again be active across South India.

The meteorologist said that as soon as the monsoon is active, there will be a period of heavy rains in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka once again. He said about Delhi that there is no possibility of heatwave in the country’s capital. However, the temperature in Delhi by 10 or 11 June may increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. According to meteorologist Naresh Kumar, his department is not issuing any alert for the NCR area. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted that this year the monsoon would receive more than average rainfall. The reason for this is the La Nina effect. La Nina causes the surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean to higher than the ground. In the year 2024, the country received more than the average monsoon rains due to the La Nina influence.
