Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that during the last 11 years, many initiatives of his government have increased the prosperity of farmers and there has been a change in agriculture. He posted on the social media forum ‘X’ and said, “It is our good fortune to serve our toiling farmers … We have focused on issues like soil health and irrigation, which have been very beneficial.
In the coming time, our efforts towards the welfare of farmers will continue with even more enthusiasm, Modi said that earlier our farmers were forced to borrow even for small needs, while in the last 11 years, their lives have been very easy by our government’s decisions.
Citing decisions like annual cash assistance and loan insurance scheme for farmers, he said that whether ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ or ‘Kisan Crop Insurance’ scheme, we have taken many important steps for their welfare.
He said that now the continuous increase in the minimum support price (MSP) is not only getting fair price for crops, but also increasing their income. On June 9, 11 years of Modi -led government will be completed, in view of which he is highlighting his government’s decisions related to specific areas. Modi was sworn in for the third consecutive term on June 9, 2024.
