Japanese therapy gets relaxed and health from 'Forest Bathing'

New Delhi, 9 June (IANS). In today’s world, we spend most of the time on mobile and computer. All the time they keep thinking something or they are engaged in running away. This has a bad effect on the brain and the body is completely tired. There are many ways to get peace in life, there is a relaxed way ‘Forest Bathing’, that is, to spend time with nature by going to the forest. It has many benefits. By doing this, the stress of our body is reduced, the mind remains calm and concentration increases. We feel more happy and full of freshness.

The method of forest bathing comes from Japan, where it is known as ‘Shinerin Yoku’. Hearing the name of Forest Bathing, it seems that it has to take a bath in the forest, but it is not so. It does not have to take a bath with water. Under Forest Bathing, you go to a forest, garden or green area. The air there feels the air, walks between the trees, looks at the leaves, hear the sounds of sparrows, etc., which both the mind and the body refreshed.

There have been many research in Japan and South Korea, which has shown that ‘Shinerin Yoku’ i.e. Forest Bathing has many benefits to our body and mind. This reduces stress and blood pressure. The power to meditate increases. The mood is better. You feel happy and calm from inside. Another research was done in the year 2022, in which it was found that if you do any light activity in greenery and natural environment, such as walking, cycling, etc., then it has a good effect on your heart health.

Jungle or greenery places have more oxygen. When you go to such a place and take deep breaths, your body gets more oxygen. This increases the level of oxygen in the blood. Also, your brain also works better.

A study included 12 men, who were between 37 and 55 years old. These people did forest bathing in three different forests. The results saw that the natural killer cells in his body increased by 50 per cent. These natural killer sales are helpful in fighting diseases like cancer.

Forest bathing may have been new trends, but our sages and sages already used to do so. He used to meditate, yoga and practice in the forest.

You do not need to go to any forest to start it. You can go to a park or garden in your city. Just do not use mobile or earphones during this time. Just pay attention to nature. Feel the air from your senses, listen to the sound of falling leaves, take the fragrance of the soil. By doing this, the mind will get peace.
