People jammed at Hanuman Garhi intersection, people agreed on JE’s assurance
Kasganj The power crisis broke the patience of the people amidst the scorching heat in Ganjdundwara town of the district. The power supply came to a standstill after a fire in cable in Sudamapuri locality on Friday night. Due to this, there was darkness in the locality and people were suffering from heat and humidity throughout the night. When electricity was not restored till Saturday morning, people got angry. Angry citizens reached Hanuman Garhi intersection and blocked the road.
Despite harsh sunlight and stinging humidity, a large number of women, elderly and youth came out on the road. The protesters raised slogans against the Electricity Department and raised the demand to restore supply soon.
Local people allege that information about the fire in cable was given to the department at night, but no responsible officer or employee reached the spot. Repeated assurances continued from the department but no concrete action was taken.
Assurance to restore supply in two hours

Also, he said that soon there is a plan to divide the power system of Sudamapuri locality into four different parts, so that the entire locality is not affected when one part malfunction in the future.
