A sensational incident has come to light from Gursar village in Muktsar district of Punjab, where a 33 -year -old woman poisoned her husband and in -laws only four months after her marriage. Husband and mother -in -law died due to this poisonous eating, while the father -in -law’s condition remains critical. This incident has stirred up the entire area and now this matter remains a matter of discussion across the state.
Woman added poison in rotis
The main accused in the case is Khushmandeep Kaur, who was arrested by the police on Thursday. According to preliminary police investigation, Khushmandeep added poison to food on Monday night, causing her husband Shivatar Singh, mother -in -law Jasbinder Kaur, and father -in -law Surjit Singh suddenly deteriorated. The incident occurred immediately after dinner when everyone started vomiting and diarrhea.
Two killed, one serious
The victims were first referred to a private hospital in Giddarbaha, then a civil hospital and later Bathinda. Shivatar died on Tuesday morning and Jasbinder died on Wednesday night. Surjeet’s condition still remains critical and is hospitalized. Doctors have confirmed that the cause of death is poison.
Lover and mother also arrested
Khushmandeep has also been confirmed not being alone in this crime. The police have also arrested her alleged lover Chamkaur Singh (resident – Vaddy Kotli, District Mansa) and mother Paramjit Kaur (resident – Kotfatta, Bathinda). According to the police, both of them were also involved in the conspiracy.
The accused was not happy with marriage, wanted to live with her lover
According to DSP Avtar Singh of Giddarbaha, Khushmandeep has confessed to his crime during interrogation. She said that she was not happy with her marriage and wanted to live life with her lover. She had once run away with her lover before, but returned under family pressure. He also admitted that he did not deliberately eat food, while the rest of the members served poisonous rotis.
Even before marriage, the past came out
The family says that he came to know after the incident that this was Khushmandeep’s second marriage. He told that he had left home earlier too, but after explaining relatives, he was brought home again.
Police action and case registered
The police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), and 120B (criminal conspiracy) under the conspiracy to murder in this triangular love story. Chat records and call details have confirmed that Khushmandeep and her lover were in constant contact. He has been taken on three days police remand, and a forensic investigation report is awaited to find out what kind of poison was used.
