In Rajasthan these days, the political battle between two big leaders on the issues of youth has intensified. On one side is Cabinet Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, on the other side Nagaur MP and National Democratic Party convenor Hanuman Beniwal. Both leaders are seen supporting the youth for extending the date of RAS Main Examination and canceling SI recruitment examination, but are also taking sarcasm at each other.
Students protesting to extend the date of RAS Main Examination reached the government residence of Cabinet Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena on Monday. The students requested Dr. Kirori to raise the issue before Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Talking to the media, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena said that he is ready to put the demands of the students before the government. He appealed to the students to take care while performing in this summer season, stay in the shade instead of sitting in the sun and take care of their health.
Commenting on Hanuman Beniwal’s big strikes and rallies, Dr. Kirori said that the heads are counted in democracy. He had organized a big rally, if they sit on a dharna with the same people, then it will send a big message. He also clarified that he cannot go into any dharna against the government under any circumstances, because they are part of the government. Dr. Kirori also said that Beniwal is a big leader, he can give any statement, I have always supported him.
Regarding the SI recruitment examination scam, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena said that he had gone to the SOG office several times and pressurized the matter, due to which 56 SI and 2 RPSC members went to jail. He then reiterated his old demand and said that the SI recruitment examination should be canceled. Here, Hanuman Beniwal reacted sharply to the statements of Dr. Kirori Lal Meena. He said that Dr. Saheb reached the picket site only after my statement. If I do not give a statement, they do not go on dharna.
He raised the question whether Dr. Meena Beniwal competes with the Chief Minister or the Congress? He alleged that Dr. Meena only wants to protest by staying in Jaipur, while he himself is visiting the entire state and raising the issues of youth. Hanuman Beniwal said that he is taking the victims of SI recruitment to introduce the Prime Minister, while Dr. Meena could not do so. He taunted that Dr. Saheb is not getting time to meet the Prime Minister, Home Minister and the National President of BJP today. He cited Dr. Kirori Lal Meena’s age and said that he should now retire from politics. Also, about the cancellation of SI recruitment, Beniwal clearly said that I will cancel the SI recruitment exam. This political tussle between Dr. Kirori Lal Meena and Hanuman Beniwal has started a new debate in Rajasthan politics.
