New Delhi, 16 June (IANS). The Center for Development of Telematics (C-Dot) said on Monday that it had selected 18 startups in the first group as part of its ‘Samarth’ program.
It is a cutting-edge incubation program for startups in the telecom and ICT sector. The objective of this initiative is to nurture a sustainable and scalable business model by providing guidance for financial grants, advanced resources and ideas to commercialization.
These startups are provided with financial grants, fully furnished office space and C -Dott labs in Delhi -Bangalore Campus.
The Samarth Program supports startups and innovators working in telecom application, cybercirescence, 5G/6G technology, AI, Internet of Things and Quantum Technology.
C-Dot CEO Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Director General Arvind Kumar appreciated his collaborative effort in promoting a vibrant startup ecosystem and encouraged the continuous participation of startups in future initiatives.
The program also signed an MoU between C-Dot and STPI, in which the outline of possible cooperation areas of metherip, training and joint initiatives was prepared.
The program is structured in two groups of six months, including 18 startups in each group. Thus a maximum of 36 startups can be supported under this initiative. STPI and TIE (Indus Entrepreneurs) have been selected as the implementation partner of the program.
Distributed in a hybrid format, leads from state-off-the-art infrastructure, expert mentorship and access to a strong network of investors and industry leaders to empower emerging entrepreneurs.
Under the program, each selected startup will get a grant of up to Rs 5 lakh, the C-Dot Campus in Delhi-Bangalore will receive a completely furnished office space for six months, access to C-Dot’s laboratory and guidance from C-Dot Technology experts and external experts.
According to the government, progressive startups will also be eligible for possible cooperation and further financial grants under C-DOT Associate Research Program (CCRP).
