A team from Boeing and the aircraft accident bureau (AAIB) officials arrived at Ahmedabad on Monday to inspect the Air India aircraft accident site. Explain that investigation is going on to find out the cause of the tragic incident on June 12.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft to London crashed in a hostel complex soon after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on 12 June, killing 241 passengers and crew members, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Meanwhile, Additional Medical Superintendent at Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital said on Monday that the DNA sample matches in the Air India aircraft accident have reached 92, which are of 87 persons due to some repetition.
Talking to the media, Dr. Rajneesh Patel said that so far 47 bodies have been sent to various districts.
Dr. Patel said, “Out of the bodies brought in the civil hospital, 92 (dead body residues) have been completed, out of which 87 persons have DNA matching, because there is a repeat. 47 bodies have been sent from here. Meanwhile, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who lost his life in the accident, will be cremated with full state honors in Rajkot today.
The tricolor is being brought to the mortuary of the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, where his body will be wrapped. About 2,000 kg of flowers will be used to decorate the carcass vehicle carrying the body of the former Chief Minister.
The accident killed 241 out of 242 people aboard the aircraft, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members. The only living person, British citizen of Indian origin Vishwaskumar Ramesh, is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
After the accident, at least 33 people, including residents and MBBS students living on the ground, also died due to the doctors of the aircraft colliding with the hostel.
