In view of the scorching heat in Chhattisgarh these days, the state government has given great relief to school students and parents. The Education Department has issued a new order to change the time table of schools. This order will be applicable to all government, grant, non -grant and private schools.
Education session 2025-26 started
The new education session has been formally started across the state from 16 June 2025. After the summer holidays, studies started again in schools from today. However, in view of extremely hot weather, the operation of schools has been reshuffled so that children’s health does not affect adversely.
What is the new school time table?
According to the revised order issued by the Education Department:
Classes of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools will now be conducted in the morning.
According to government sources, instructions have been given to abolish classes by maximum 12 noon.
In some districts, more flexibility in time has been given to the school management according to the weather conditions.
Relief to students and parents
The temperature in many districts in the state has reached 43-45 degrees Celsius. There was concern about the health of children among the parents about this. This move of the Education Department has been welcomed by students, teachers and parents.
Pooja Sahu, a guardian resident of Raipur, said, “It was difficult for children to stay in school till noon in this summer. This decision of the government is timely and commendable.”
Guidance also given to teachers
All the district education officers of the state have been instructed to make necessary flexibility in determining the time of schools in view of the local weather conditions. Along with this, the school management has been asked to give priority to cold water system, convenience of shady places and health protection for children.
