The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested four more accused in the Tamil Nadu radicalization and recruitment case, which is a part of the Coimbatore car bomb blast case, according to an official statement.
The NIA has so far arrested a total of eight people in the case. According to the Vigyanti, the accused have been identified as Ahmed Ali, Jawahar Satik, Raja Abdullah alias MAC Raja and Sheikh Dawood. The four accused were made a radical by the founder of Madras Arabic College, Jamil Basha, along with their colleagues, in the name of giving Arabic classes in Tamil Nadu in the name of recruiting innocent youths and filling the salafi-zaadi ideology in the name of giving Arabic language classes.
The NIA had earlier arrested Jamil Basha and its colleagues Irshad, Syed Abdur Rahman and Mohammad Hussain and accused them, who were using classes and social platforms to carry out anti -national radicalization and recruitment activities. The NIA’s investigation revealed that the accused had shown that the accused, violence and arousal were extended to the strength and arousal. Violence and armed conflict were advocated for the establishment of an Islamic state by removing the democratically elected government.
The Coimbatore car bomb exploded in October 2022 due to radicalism and recruitment activities, in which the suicide bomber attacked an IED-borne IED in front of an ancient temple in Coimbatore. Under efforts to investigate radical terrorist activities against the nation, NIA Tamil Nadu ISIS is continuing its investigation into the case.
