New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a big announcement for restoring the Indus Water Treaty. He has stated clearly that the Indus Water Treaty is permanently suspended, so this treaty will no longer be restored. Amit Shah said this in an interview to Times of India. Shah accused Pakistan of violating the conditions of the Indus Water Treaty. He said that this treaty was done for the purpose of maintaining peace and progress between India and Pakistan, now when the condition of peace was broken, what was the meaning of the treaty.
Amit Shah said that Pakistan will not get the water that was getting under the Indus Water Agreement now. Shah said, it is difficult to cancel international treaties unilaterally, but because Pakistan violated the conditions, we exercised our authority and suspended the treaty. Pakistan is going to get a major setback after hearing what the Home Minister of India said about the Indus Water Treaty. Pakistan is constantly demanding to restore the Indus Water Treaty and release water. With India stopping water, water crisis is now beginning in Pakistan.
Amit Shah said, tourists were deliberately attacked in Pahalgam. The purpose of stopping the growing tourism in Kashmir was behind this so that the youth of the valley could be wandered again. But the people of the valley are now standing with India more strongly than before. Let us tell you that after the Pahalgam terror attack, the first action taken by the Modi government against Pakistan was to cancel the Indus Water Treaty. Along with this, India had also imposed several types of sanctions on Pakistan.
