PM Modi said that when India proposed to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21 June every year at the United Nations General Assembly, 175 countries supported it in a very short time. Modi said that such support is not a normal event in today’s world. He said that this was not just the support of the proposal, the world had tried collectively for the good of humanity. PM Modi said that India is strengthening the science of yoga with modern research to spread yoga worldwide. The PM said that the big medical institutions of the country are doing research on yoga. He said that it is our endeavor to get a place in modern medicine for the scientificity of yoga.
