New Delhi, 22 June (IANS). Many such species of trees and plants are found all over the world, which have an important place in Ayurveda. One of these is Guggul, also called ‘Guggulu’ in Ayurveda. It is also known in Sanskrit by names like ‘Guggulu’, ‘Mahishaksha’ and ‘Padma’. Its consumption provides many benefits.
According to Ayurveda, it is obtained from a plant called Komifora Mukul. It is used to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha. However, it is particularly useful for calming the Vata Dosha.
Guggulu is mentioned in Charak and Sushruta Samhita, according to which it is used in the treatment of many diseases. In Charak Samhita, Guggulu is described as effective in reducing obesity. At the same time, it is mentioned in the context of surgery in Sushruta Samhita, where it is said to be useful in the treatment of various types of diseases.
In the Sushruta Samhita, Guggulu is used in many problems with 1120 diseases and more than 700 medicinal plants. It has been said about this in Charaka Samhita, “Guggulun Vataraktaghnam Meh Kishiran Shubhan.” Which means Guggul is superior to remove arthritis and urinaryists.
It contains many elements like vitamins, antioxidants, chromium. For this reason, this drug is used on a large scale. It is also helpful in reducing the odor coming from the ear. Not only this, it relieves sour belching, stomach diseases, anemia, hemorrhoids and joint pain.
Guggul has the property of balanced vata, which helps reduce joint pain and inflammation, such as osteoarthritis. This Guggul improves digestion and also relieves problems like constipation, acidity. Kanchanar is considered highly beneficial in conditions such as Guggul gland diseases, especially thyroid and PCOD.
In Ayurveda, ‘Guggul’ is considered a panacea for many body -related treatment. ‘Guggul’ is like glue, whose effect is hot and bitter. It is helpful in removing ulcers, indigestion, stones, pimples, piles as well as cough, eye problems.
