New Delhi. Israeli Ambassador to India Ruveen Azar on Sunday reacted strongly to senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s article in support of Iran. He said that such leaders should know the correct knowledge of the regional situation. Ambassador Azar said in a special conversation with the news agency , “We were disappointed to see that the person you mentioned, they have not condemned the attacks of October 7 (2023). It is completely unacceptable to ignore the aggression being done by Iran for the last three decades.”
He clarified that everyone has freedom of ideas, but leaders should make a statement based on facts and reality.
The Israeli ambassador said, “It is clear that Iran has been an aggressive side in this whole incident. Israel had to take action when Iran was on the verge of acquiring weapons to destroy our country.”
The ambassador also clarified that the recent military action of Israel and the United States was to target Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile program, which were becoming a major threat to regional and global peace.
Reacting to the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with the President of Iran by interacting with the President of Iran and the appeal of the solution of diplomacy, Azar said, “If Iran leaves trying to end other countries, end its nuclear and missile program and back down from regional aggression, then there is definitely an option for diplomacy. We want Iran to adopt a responsible attitude that can lead to peace and stability.”
