New Delhi. A trainee pilot from Indigo Airlines accused his senior officials of harassment, claiming that he was behaved indecently by making caste -based vulgar comments. The trainee pilot comes from a unheard caste. In his complaint, he told that senior officials told him that you are not fit to fly the plane, go back and chappal. At the same time, he also told him that you do not even have the right to become a watchman here. In this case, a case under the SC-ST Act has been registered against three Indigo officials Manish Sahni, Tapas Dey and Rahul Patil, currently the case is being investigated.
Trainee Pilot, a resident of Bangalore, said that he was treated indecently during a meeting held at Indigo’s headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana on 28 April. On reaching the office, I was told to keep my phone and bag out. After this I was humiliated. In this case, the first zero FIR was lodged in Bangalore, later it was transferred to Gurugram. Trainee pilot has said that senior officials were pressurizing him to resign through such misconduct. He told that the matter was raised before the company’s Ethics Committee but no action was taken from there. After this, the legal proceedings were forced to resort.
Apart from the SC-ST Act in this case, the accused have also been taken under Section 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of BNS, 352 (deliberately insulting the intention of disturbing peace) and 3 (5) (general intent). The police has come to know in this case whether the allegations that the trainee pilot has made is correct or not. For this, statements can also be taken from some employees of Indigo.
