‘Operation Langa’ is a strict strategy of Bihar Police that aims to create fear among criminals and hurt them so that they do not be in a position to commit crime again. Under this campaign, if a criminal attacks the police, the police are allowed to retaliate in self -defense – which usually shoots in the foot of the culprit, so that he is permanently crippled.
Encounter on JP Setu, a criminal injured
The latest case is of JP Setu of Patna, where the joint team of Bihar STF and Patna Police was taking two criminals and taking them somewhere. Meanwhile, the arrested accused Mohammad Raja suddenly started firing on policemen. According to police sources, in response to the firing of the king, the STF also fired, causing a bullet in his leg. The soldiers present on the spot took prompt action and took him under control and immediately sent to the hospital for medical facility.
Two soldiers injured in firing
Patna SSP Karthikeya Sharma informed that two STF personnel have also been injured in this encounter, although they have not been shot. Both the soldiers were rushed to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment and their condition is said to be stable. The SSP said that 2 to 3 rounds of firing were done by the criminal, in which the soldiers survived narrowly. The police managed to control the situation by taking action with restraint and strategic understanding.
Mohammed Raja: Notorious criminal
Mohammad Raja is not a new name for Patna Police. He is wanted in two murder cases and the police had been looking for him for a long time. He had already been arrested and the police was taking him for questioning. Meanwhile, he fired, which is believed to be an attempt for a planned attack. The king has several FIRs in cases of gang activities, illegal weapons and extortion cases. Its network is spread to Patna as well as other districts of Bihar.
