New Delhi. The two accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case overturned their statement in front of the magistrate. Shillong police said that Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi had earlier confessed that they were involved in King Raghuvanshi murder but both of them kept silence in front of the magistrate on Thursday and refused to make any statement. The police have arrested Vishal Chauhan and Raja’s wife Sonam and her lover Raj Kushwaha in this murder case. It is alleged that Sonam, along with Raj, gave money to Akash, Anand and Vishal, killed King Raghuvanshi in Shillong.

According to the Shillong police, the three hit the king first with a sharp weapon and then threw it into a deep ditch. During this, Sonam was present there. Sonam and Raja, originally from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, were married on 11 May. After marriage, the couple went to Shillong for a honeymoon and Sonam killed the king there. According to Raja’s family, Sonam forcibly took the king to Shillong, he also booked the ticket. On May 20, both of them left for a honeymoon. Till May 22, the couple spoke to their family members and their phones were closed on 23 May and their disappearance came to light.

When the Meghalaya Police started searching for the couple, the king’s body was recovered from a deep ditch on June 2. However, Sonam still did not know anything. On June 9, Sonam suddenly met in a dhaba located on a highway in Ghazipur, UP. He himself reached there and called his house with a mobile from Dhave, when Indore police contacted UP police, UP police detained Sonam. Later, Meghalaya Police was handed over to Sonam. On the basis of investigation, the Meghalaya Police revealed the murder, adding all the links.
