US President Donald Trump again reiterated his claim that he had stopped the war between the two countries by asking his administration officials to ‘cancel all deals’ with India and Pakistan.
Talking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, “We did some great work with India and Pakistan. Perhaps it was moving towards the nuclear attack. We did a lot of work. I do not know if there has been a President who has done more work than this. ”
Trump once again reiterated his claim that he had told the two countries that America would not ‘trade’ with Delhi and Islamabad and thus he stopped the war between India and Pakistan. According to him, it could have turned into a nuclear attack.
Trump said, ‘Serbia, Kosovo was going to have a huge war. I said that you too should fight, there will be no business with America… This is what happened to India and Pakistan. I was interacting with both of them and I (Finance Minister) told Scott (Besant), I (Commerce Minister) asked Howard (Lutynik) to cancel all the deals with India and Pakistan. They are not doing business with us because they are fighting. ”
Trump said that both countries called us and said “what should we do?” I said, ‘See you want to do business with America. This is great, but you want to use nuclear weapons on each other. We will not let this happen. ”
Trump said that both of them agreed both have good leaders, so we did a lot.
He said that “with some big countries like India, I think we are going to reach an agreement, under which we will have the right to go and do business there.” It is currently banned. You cannot go there. You cannot even think about it. We are trying to end the trade barrier completely. ”
Trump also spoke of business with China. Trump has reiterated several times that he has helped to stop a fight between India and Pakistan.
However, India has been continuously saying that consent to end the conflict with Pakistan was made after direct talks between the Directorate General of Military Operations of the two armies.
