Love, a word that is heard as simple as it means, and deep it means. Every person is looking for love, but understanding and living is not a matter of everyone’s control. Osho Rajneesh, who has a wonderful confluence of esoteric and simplicity in his speech, said many times – “When love gives freedom, then it is built a temple and when it becomes a bond, it turns into prison.” This difference makes love the door to both happiness and sorrow.
Love: Initially fragrant flowers, ahead thorns or welfare?
In the beginning of love, every person respects each other’s freedom, lets his soul breathe freely. But as ownership, expectations and fear start entering, the same love gradually starts to turn into an invisible chain. Osho says – “Where there is demand in love, there is fear; where there is freedom in love, there is joy.” According to Osho, if we give love an open sky, it becomes a prayer. But when we want to capture love in a cage, then he gradually loses his original nature. Trying to catch love, is like killing him.
When does love become a temple?
When two people give full acceptance and freedom to each other, then a love temple is built. It becomes a sacred energy, in which the person does not lose himself, but begins to recognize himself deeply. Osho says – “In love, when you can tell someone that your freedom is most important to me – even if it means losing you – then you are in true love.” Such a love worship becomes. There is no selfishness in it, there is only a sense of giving. No expectation, no condition. This love makes every person upward, awakens a dance inside. There is neither jealousy, nor right, nor a sense of domination in such love.
When does love become prison?
But the same love, when it is bound in feelings like “you only mine”, then it becomes a prison, not a temple. Osho calls it ‘love in the shadow of ego’. Such love makes another an object. The lovers feel that he is now the master of another’s life, the right to control him. It starts with bondage, expectations, comparison, doubt and doubt. This is the turn where love loses its sweetness and becomes a burden. Osho warns that trying to force Prem forcibly kills him. Just as the flower can be decorated by breaking, but it cannot blossom again, similarly when love is done, he loses his beauty.
Right direction of love: guidance of Osho
Osho repeatedly talks about returning to the basic spirit of love. He says – “Live love, but don’t think that it is your right. Love is a blessing, the more it is, the more fruitful it will be.” This approach is very relevant in modern times, when the tricks, expectations and mental violence are becoming common in relationships. In Osho’s words, love is not a business, it is a fundamental experience – the union of the soul with the soul, where there is no control, only silence understanding and dedication.
