Seeing the incidents related to heart attack, everyone is asking the same question. There was a time when a heart attack was considered to be the disease of the elderly, but nowadays people aged 30 and 40 are also falling into it. In the last one or two years, the sudden death of many famous celebrities like Bigg Boss winner Siddharth Shukla, playback singer KK or the last week Comedian Raju Srivastava has shocked people.

It is becoming difficult for people to believe that these celebrities who are so vigilant about their health and fitness can also have heart attack. It is generally believed that heart diseases can be avoided by regular exercise and control of your food. This is also very true to a large extent, but the current incidents have forced people to think again. Gradually, people are now becoming aware of the symptoms of heart attack and measures to avoid it. Currently, cases of heart attack are increasing rapidly among the youth. According to WHO, 45% of deaths in the age group of 40–69 years in India suffer from heart diseases.

Studies also found that heart disease in Indians spreads at least a decade earlier than European people. In fact, heart disease is causing the greatest damage of producing life years in India. Statistics related to the loss of working years show that in 2000 the figure was 9.2 million years, which is expected to be doubled by 2030 to 17.9 million years. So why is the younger generation of India falling prey to a heart attack? One is that Indians have more genetic tendency for heart disease. The second thing is that due to changes in the lifestyle of youth in our country, diseases like type-2 diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and bad cholesterol are increasing very fast. These diseases further increase the risk of heart attack.

But why are people who look fit and young are having a heart attack? Rapidly changing lifestyle, problems related to relationships and poor eating are also partially responsible for this. Due to office work, excessive stress, not taking care of your routine, very little gold and excessive intake of alcohol and cigarettes can cause heart disease. Is stress the main cause of heart attack? The way to work has changed a lot in the last few years. Most of the youth do jobs where competition is very high. They are always angry and stressed with the target of every month, continuous workload for several hours and new challenges every day.

Meanwhile Kovid-19 epidemic [5] Has also increased many difficulties in people’s lives. In this epidemic, many people lost their loved ones, some lost their jobs and some themselves remained in the grip of this disease. Due to these reasons, the level of stress of people increased on a large scale. These are all reasons, apart from this, social media has also become a great source of stress for many people despite all its benefits. On social media, people start feeling jealous inside by seeing people’s fan following or their visits to the country and abroad and expensive lifestyle. His attention goes on his life and goes on what is happening in the lives of others. They start getting irritated by the fact that they are not able to enjoy their life as they are taking their friends on social media. All these things increase your level of stress somewhere.

Let me tell you that when you are under too much stress, there is a stress hormone called ‘cortisol’ in the body. This hormone reduces blood flow to the heart, so that the heart does not get the necessary oxygen and nutrients. Although it does not directly affect the heart, prolonged stress can increase cortisol levels in your body, causing problems such as poor cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure. Due to these problems, plaque accumulates in the arteries, which is a cause of heart attack in itself. So the most important thing is to reduce your stress levels. Nowadays there are many ways to reduce stress. You can seek the help of a counselor or do yoga and meditation under the supervision of an expert. First of all, reduce the multitasking habit in your routine. Give priority to your work and do what is most important. If you do not have time to work, then refuse to do previous work for any new work. If you are in trouble, do not hesitate to ask for help from your friends and relatives. Remember that stress is like a slow poison, so never let it dominate your life.

Connection is between sleep and heart attack

The job of many youths is such that they have to deal with their clients sitting abroad. Working with people with different time zones worsens their own sleep pattern (sleep and waking cycle). At the same time, the new films and series of the new films and series released every week on the OTT platform have made people difficult to sleep. Alam is that when people should get plenty of sleep, at that time they are watching the series of 6 to 8 hours in the name of Binj Watching.

These habits gradually cause great harm to health. Lack of sleep due to lack of hormone in the body

To get addicted This causes problems such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease that increases the risk of heart attack. A recent study [6] It turns out that people who sleep less than 6 hours at night have a risk of heart attack 20%.

Also keep an eye on what you are eating

Nowadays ordering online food is very popular. The youth feel that it also saves time and they are also discharged by eating boring at home. Soft drinks and fast-food advertisements by many celebrities on TV and social media also promote these habits.

Whereas the truth is that these fast food and packaged drinks have high things like refined flour, sugar, salt and preservatives. You are inviting heart disease by consuming these things for many days a week. In addition, vitamin D naturally in India’s traditional diet [7] And omega-3 fatty acids [8] There is a shortage of, which is considered necessary for heart health. Therefore, you should include foods rich in omega fatty acids in your diet like fish, walnuts, linseed and green vegetables. Also, walk in the sun daily for vitamin D and take vitamin D supplement.

Exercise: neither less, nor too much

If you sit on the couch all day in the house or work for hours in the office, then they are not good habits for heart health. Avoid sitting in one place for a long time, but walk for a while every half an hour. If you want to talk to someone on the phone in the office, then walk and use stairs instead of lift.

It is true that regular exercise is good for heart health, but people who exercise heavy without consulting a doctor have an increased risk of heart attack. This is especially true for those who are already at risk of a heart attack due to lifestyle or genetic causes or any kind of obstruction in the heart.

So before starting a heavy exercise, get the doctor examine your heart and proceed based on their advice.

If there are already heart patients in your family, what should you do?

Genetic causes of heart attack cannot be ignored. It is true that you can no longer change your genes or DNA, but reduce some risk factors of heart attack.

It would be better to have cardiac screening tests like ECG, Echocardiogram, Stress Test, Cardiac CT or triglycerides and blood sugar test, homocysteine etc. If some people already have heart disease in your family, then start getting this test done only after the age of 30.

Are you more victims of heart disease due to poor lifestyle? Now get all the necessary checks related to heart health done at affordable prices, click now.

When to go to the doctor

Many days before the heart attack, your body starts giving some initial indication. Let’s first know about these signs:

Feeling of heaviness in the chest, chest pain in the throat, jaw, abdomen or upper back pain

Many times when the youth see any of these symptoms, they live in the misconception that they have not yet had a heart attack, they are symptoms of acidity or any other disease. Do not hide the symptoms of heart attack, but if any symptom is visible again and again, then go and get it checked.

Understand your heart health as your savings account. Whenever you are eating nutritious food, exercising or living a stress -free life, it means that you are investing in improving the quality of your life. These small changes will greatly reduce the risk of heart disease in your life.
